I've been thinking a lot about blogging recently, since I started this project a couple of months ago. A story on Joichi Ito's blog gave me a lot of food for thought recently, as well. (BTW, he also went to Nishimachi ;)...
I have begun to want to blog everything cool that I see in my life, and I don't have nearly enough time to do it. I can't imagine how all these bloggers out there of working age manage to find the time to post stuff every day... I guess a lot of it is not that interesting, but it still takes time...
My plan is basically to get this blog working the way I want it before I start law school next year, so I'll be able to write about all the issues I encounter. It should be pretty interesting... I just hope that I can manage to get on the Uberman's sleep schedule prior to law school. Having 4 extra hours each day would seriously ameliorate my need for time to fuel my obsessions... :)
Come on! Are you the Trevor Hill that I know?
Hmmm. Just checked out your blog, and I don't think so... but where do you know a Trevor Hill from?
:)

Oops, sorry I guessed wrong. My apologies. I know a nice guy with the same name from ... well, I forgot but he's a Stanford graduate. I haven't seen him for 5, 6 years. Anyway, this is a nice site. Let me drop by, yoroshiku. ;)

My first trackback! Cool. Hi Trevor. Do we know each other? What years did you go to Nishimachi?

:)
My first trackback too... ;) I just thought I'd start trying to use this stuff and see if I could make some more connections to people...
I don't think I've ever met you -- I went there from '86 to '89... I was in 5th thru 7th grade at the time...
I had a lot of friends though who went on to ASIJ or St. Mary's after I moved back to the states... Maybe you know one of them... Tetsuya Sakaguchi, Taro Hornmark, Maya Ravindranath, Kevin Smith, Yu Takasaku, Iyasu Nagata, Ryoji Kubo, (also know the Katayamas), Chika Hayashi, Lisa Asari, Cammy McFatrige... Some of the names that come to mind... :)
Anyway, thanks for checking out the site -- I just moved over to movabletype a few weeks ago, and am slowly trying to get things the way I like them. :)

Hi Trevor. Is Iyasu, related Sen Nagata? He works with me.
I'm a bit older than you. I was at Nishimachi in '81 for 9th grade and graduated ASIJ in '84. We have a site also using movable type where ASIJ/Nishimachi canponites hang out. Please check it out if you have time. http://www.chanpon.org/

Maybe Sen is his older brother?? You should ask him... :) I'd like to know what Iyasu's up to, as I lost track of him a while back...
Ok, so you're about 10 years older than me... ;) And you started learning Japanese when you were in 9th grade? It seems like you're very fluent from your site... That's impressive for starting at that age. I speak it as well, but I started when I was 10, and had a lot of Japanese/Half friends at Nishimachi... :)
mmm. Cool, man. :)

Well my parents were Japanese and I learned a lot of it when I moved back recently. My sister is still better than me at Japanese writing, but I think I speak better. Sen is indeed Iyasu's brother. ;-) I'll ask him how he's doing.
